Cultural Village

The cultural village of Mto wa Mbu is found at the foot of the Rift Valley, on the road from Arusha to the northern National Parks. The village has become a frequent stopping point for travellers enroute to the Serengeti or Ngorongoro with the area around Mto wa Mbu offering a chance to experience local life.

From the village climb Balaa Hill to the top of the Rift Valley Wall for views to Lake Manyara and back to the village; see ancient 2,000 year old Baobab trees; visit a Maasai boma or buy Maasai crafts at the bustling Thursday market.
